Regular readers of the blog will know that I have been extolling the virtues of the very particular urban surf rock scene that bands like Eggs on Mars, Readhouse and (especially) Tennis Club have been populating over the last couple of years in around Kansas City.
Swedish 4-some Andronoids, have released two singles that would fit very adroitly into such a scene if it was not for the sheer dalliance of distance. In particular Today shift’s its way through smoky vocoded vocals, reverb drenched high end guitar riffs and a tempo that would disgrace and beguile early 60’s surf rock bands in equal measures.
Although the track is not up on Bandcamp yet, there are more than enough ‘follow up’ buttons all over the interweb to ensure you do not miss out on wherever they go next!
