Somehow this solo project of Los Angeles based Lola.G, manages to plant one foot firmly in garage territory, whilst inviting all manner of dreamy gaze to the fore. A truly original sound from an artist who is getting better with every release.

Glad Sisifus

Glad Sisifus is the solo project of the Slovak musician Nátan Mikletič, who provides a washed out, jangly ambience, that touches on the more beautiful parts of Swiss Portrait style of jangle-gaze/dream-pop and drowns it in a glorious sense of fuzzy melodic.

One of those rare acts that find the perfect blend between the heaviest of fuzz, reverb and simpering melodies that just about force their way to the surface. This all female, Oakland duo of Jade Alcantara and Grace Bennett have the potential to be modern day contenders for a Sonic Youth crown that no-one has quite managed to grab yet.

Ramshackle twee-pop, that flops gracefully into all thing retro C86 in its  playfulness. This, the initial union of these talented artists, hints at enormous potential for a ‘possible’ more to come.

Washington DC four-piece, who mix the best of chiming jangle, surf pop and all of the melodic best that 60s ‘girl group’ had to offer. Everything you could want from feel good music, but infinitely cooler !!!

Staten Island based act, coursing the best of 70s pop rock persuasions through slight slight 60s inflected melodic riffs. Simply gorgeous.

This 2nd single from the forthcoming Still Flat album, mixes bedroom pop, Built To Spill fuzz and the slightest of an Elephant 6 essence into the most perfect of slacker pop blends. Owen Kenney‘s bedroom-pop solo project at it’s finest.

Jangle-gaze infused track, with one of of the most hypnotic dominant riffs you will hear this year. This solo project of Tampa’s Jake Benfant is among the best that recent bedroom-pop has had to offer.
