The Happy Somethings

Track: Forward Now From: Lollilops Licks (EP) Label: Self released Out: Now
This enigmatic Notts / Derbyshire (UK) based act, offer a wonderful mixture of late 80s  jangly indie-pop (with an anglophile bias) and all that was so precious about the mid 90s twee-pop scene.

Eric Linden

Track: Walk You Home From: Walk You Home (single) Label: Self released Out: Now
Eric Linden’s Bandcamp bio states “indie Rock that ricochets between Jangle Pop, Garage Rock, and Power Pop” which I would fully endorse. A sound that satiates all those 80s jangle-pop desires.

Nikky P and the Juvenile Delinquents

Track: Lemonade From: Lemonade (single) Label: Self released Out: Now
A strange (in the best possible way) mixture of The Troggs style power-pop and the lo-fi bedroom-pop cutesy, that is defining much of the best fuzz-pop these days…I appear to have found myself obsessed with this brilliant track  from Ontario’s, Nik Persaud.

Sooner

Track: Thursday From: Days and Nights (album) Label: Good Eye Records Out: Now
Chiming late 80s / early 90s jangle-pop married to a sort of Catatonia style  feminine vocal power and the fuzzy, gaze laden sounds of the modern Hater style jangle-gaze vibe.

The Late Arthur

Track: Blood on My Clothes From: Blood on my Clothes (single) Label: Self released Out: Now

12 string driven track, reminiscent of the very earliest of the Miracle Legion back catalogue, with just a little edge of extra darkness to give the slightest of beautiful post-punk tinges.

First Frontier

Lunar Isles

Track: Subnivean From: Subnivean (single) Label: Self released Out: Now
South Korea based Scot, David Skimming, is a long time friend of Beat The Delete articles, with his mix of spatial dream-pop and jangle gaze vibes, that never fail to evoke a sense of introspection.

The Zutons style Voodoo rock / pyschedelic rock, that heaves with bouncing surf style riffs and the constant need for a tune ! Perfectly weird from this Chicago based act.

Zatch

Track: Love in a Space Shuttle From: Love in a Space Shuttle (single) Label: Self released Out: Now
This Anaheim, Californian based solo act of Zach Sharma, flutters lo-fi, bedroom-pop through the very slightest of jangle-gaze inflections, whilst never stepping more than a few inches away from the next earworm melody.

Day & Dream

Twisting isolated, chunky Pavement / Yo La Tengo style riffs, through the laconic dream-pop machinations and Hope Sandoval style vocals, this North Carolina based acts presents a different kind of dreamy beauty.

Eve’s Twin Lover
